| Zara is not the same snobby girl that her older sister is. In fact Zara is a little bit friendlier than her sister. She isn’t however someone you don’t want to cross. Zara is well aware of the fact that she is often under estimated, known not to be as smart, wise, bright, strong, whatever it may be few know it. Zara doesn’t allow anyone to get too close to her, she’s got a large wall around her, sometimes she wonders how her few friends put up with her. Zara is polite to everyone; she doesn’t see the need to be rude to anyone who hasn’t done anything to her. She’s not however someone to mess with, cross her, and she can become someone you wish you’d never met. Her tactics are not as open to see as crass words, they are more slight blows here and there with one or two perfectly placed words. She doesn’t do it often though. Zara knows she’s pretty; she doesn’t have the need to flaunt it, or think of herself as better looking than anyone else. She doesn’t have a desperate need for attention from others. She’d much rather take care of herself. If someone tries to tell her what to do, she’ll listen, let’s them talk, and than go about whatever it is her own way. She doesn’t let people boss her around, although sometimes she appears to let them do so. Although a pureblood, and a Flint Zara doesn’t believe in a lot of the things her parents, and siblings do. She doesn’t see the problem with everyone who isn’t pureblood, however this isn’t something she has ever shared with her sister, her brothers, or her parents. She merely acts neutral and in the background. After all what does it matter what she thinks? Think again. |
| Background |
Born on an oddly cold day, Zara was brought into the Flint family line. Of course her parents wanted a boy to carry on the name, they got yet again another girl. Isla was upset when she realized it was a second daughter right in a row. Zara sort of was the second mistake, or at least that was how she felt growing up. To have one daughter was wonderful, but two, a second wasn’t really needed. Although her family seemed to cheer up some when her younger brother was born a year afterwards. Zara spent a lot of her time growing up alone, figuring things out for herself, she didn’t often ask for anything, as she didn’t see the point in asking when she was capable of taking care of herself. From a young age she realized that her older sister was perhaps a more talented witch than herself. She hated it at first, she wanted to be as good as Avalon, but Zara is her own person, and she just isn’t as clearly talented. Although her older sister is very talented and a master manipulator, it let Zara fall to the background, and often left as under estimated. Few, if any actually realize that Zara is a bit wise beyond her years. From a young age she started to learn by watching. When her last sibling was born, another younger brother, it was even easier for Zara to drift to the background. She didn’t talk to her father the way her older sister or brothers did, and she never tried to either. Generally if she did talk to her father it was about Quidditch, or Quidditch. She had to of course talk to him about Quidditch when she wanted to start training as a chaser. She wasn’t exactly sure what made her want to be a chaser, but sometime about it attracted her attention. She started training when she was 9, and let it be the one thing she was noticed for slightly. When Avalon went of the Hogwarts, it was strange for Zara to be the oldest in the house. All at once it seemed she had a few extra responsibilities, she never realized how much she got away with until Avalon wasn’t gone. Zara was extremely excited when that year ended and she was finally on her way to Hogwarts. Zara was torn on where she wanted to end up. She didn’t think she’d end up in Slytherin, she figured anywhere but Slytherin, however after a bit of deliberation from the hat, considering Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Zara was finally sorted into Slytherin, the fact that it was such a difficult caused Zara to look more puzzled when she headed to the Slytherin table than grinning. She quickly grinned though and found her place at the table. It didn’t take long for Zara to blend into the house exactly how she wanted to. As she went into her second year, it was the first time she tried out for the Quidditch team. Placed as a reserve player, she wasn’t taken off the reserve team until midway through her 4th year. Once again it was a case of someone under estimating her skills. Zara proved herself on the pitch easily enough, she let it be the one place she was noticeable. She did that on purpose of course. Zara made sure to get good enough grades not to be noticed, but not so good people would actually think of her as smart. Although she rarely had to worry about that, her sister grabbed more attention than she ever did. |

Family Relationship: Zara isn’t exactly close to her family, she respects them, loves them, but sometimes she feels as though she is completely out of place with her family. She wishes she were a little bit closer to Avalon, but she is pretty sure that her older sister doesn’t like her vary much, or doesn’t respect her. Zara isn’t exactly close to either of her parents. She rarely talks to her father, and she can’t remember the last time she had a conversation with her mother. When it comes to Brooklyn, she doesn't aways know what to make of him. The fact that he follows Avalon around worries her. Zara worries about her younger brothers, and keeps an out on both of them. She adores her youngest brother to pieces, as she holds a lot of hope that he'll not follow into the families way of life however as he's gotten older it is clear he would rather be cold and rude, Zara has basically given up on trying to relate to any of her siblings. She's at the point of just working on moving herself away from them as much as possible. After all the Flint family would probably be better off without her. Or at least that is how she feels about it most of time. Marcus Flint: Zara actually gets along with her father, out of both of her parents, Marcus is the only one Zara even talks too. She doesn't really get to close because she isn't good with getting close to anyone, but she does love her father. Marcus enjoys spending time with Zara because she is a good Quidditch player. Marcus played Quidditch as a Chaser for the Falcons for a number of years, retiring a few years ago to be the Manager of the Falcons. Isla Flint: She is a stay at home wife, and to say the least she doesn't get along with Zara. Zara is nothing like her mother. Avalon Flint: 7th year Slytherin, as her older sister Avalon is just that, nothing more nothing less. Zara doesn't get along well with her sister, and doesn't really like her sister much. They are very different and it isn't a secret to Zara that her older sister considers her to be the black sheep of the family. Marcus Flint Jr.: 5th year Slytherin; Zara actually adores Tony, she thinks he is a little bit strange, but not a bad kid. She just wants the best for him. Ian Flint: 1st year Slytherin  |
